Gary Roth Joins Whitman as Vice President of Construction By Betsy Kraat

EAST BRUNSWICK--Whitman, a New Jersey-based environmental and engineering management firm, has announced that Gary Roth, formerly of LJS Construction, has joined the firm as Vice President of Construction.

Whitman recently acquired LJS, a full-service environmental remediation and construction company headquartered in Warren, NJ.

At Whitman, Roth will be responsible for managing and implementing environmental remediation and construction projects for Whitman clients. Roth has more than 16 years of experience in the environmental consulting and remediation industry and has successfully managed all phases of construction, demolition and environmental remediation for both the public and private sector.

A graduate of Hofstra University, Roth has overseen the removal of severely contaminated materials, including PCB and mercury-contaminated items. His experience includes packing, transporting and disposing of various hazardous and non-hazardous waste including liquids, solids, soil and sludges. He has also overseen emergency response clean up of numerous oil and hazardous materials releases in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Whitman is a full-service engineering firm offering expertise in brownfield redevelopment, civil and geotechnical engineering, site assessment, remediation cost recovery and mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering.
