LIVINGSTON, NJ-Senior associate Paul Lalli from Gensler will speak at the next ICREW luncheon at the Woodbridge Hilton on June 12th.
As the push toward sustainability becomes ever more at the forefront of business thinking, building owners are recognizing the benefits to occupants from the standpoint of health and productivity, as well as operational benefits of applying sustainable practices to their buildings. At the same time, there is a growing preference on the part of tenants to occupy space that incorporates good sustainable practices.
There are now guidelines in place to improve the sustainable performance of existing buildings: LEED® EB. While some owners will want to try to achieve LEED® Certification for their existing buildings, others may want to incorporate some of these practices and guidelines, while not investing fully in certification. Galli will discuss what can be done to improve a building's performance, helping to respond to these market forces.
