HARRISBURG-- The Pennsylvania League of Cities and Municipalities (PLCM) has partnered with WITF-TV and
the Pennsylvania Public Television Network (PPTN), as well as the Pennsylvania Economy League (PEL), The Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED), as a co-sponsor of the IssuesPA 2008 public television program -- Energy and Infrastructure: Where We Need To Be.
The program will focus on the questions most critical to the state's economic competitiveness and community vitality, including green building and alternative energy. Those episodes will cover the following topics:
Alternative Energies and Energy of the Future:
What forms of energy will replace what we use today? Is the alternative energy industry the next great force to grow the economy? What part does conservation play? Guests will include Nathan Willcox, energy and clean air Advocate, Penn Environment, and Michael Love, President/CEO, Energy Association of PA.
Building Green:
Are we building green in Pennsylvania and what does that mean? What will it cost? What's driving the move toward getting greener? This episode will feature Maureen Guttman, Director, Governor's Green Government Council and Marcus Sheffer, Green Building Consultant, The Seven Group.
