LIVINGSTON--Leaders from the Governor’s Real Estate Advisory Board will present an overview of their Board structure and goals at a joint meeting of CoreNet Global New Jersey and the Economic Development Association of New Jersey on Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 2:00 P.M.
The meeting will be held at the Eisenhower Corporate Campus, 290 Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Livingston, NJ and will provide an opportunity for New Jersey’s corporate real estate leaders to discuss the Governor’s economic development policies.
The Real Estate Advisory Board was created in December by the Governor to support the initiatives of his economic assistance and recovery plan, a multi-faceted approach to support the initiatives of the governor’s economic assistance and recovery plan intended to help coax the state out of the current national recession and promote sustainable growth.
Board members meet regularly and work with the Governor’s Office of Economic Growth, as well as other state departments, to encourage economic development and revitalization across the state, enhancing the state’s appeal to investors and businesses and also serving as good will ambassadors to recruit businesses to locate and expand in New Jersey.
The Board consists of a Blue Ribbon Panel of approximately 30 leaders of the Real Estate Industry.
On hand to make this presentation will be a representative from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority who will offer an overview of incentives available for businesses in New Jersey. Participants expected to contribute to the discussion of the Board’s work and the efforts of the New Business Development Committee include: Jerry Zaro, the Chief of the New Jersey Office of Economic Growth; Joseph Taylor, CEO of Matrix Development and chair of the Real Estate Advisory Board; and Steve Pozycki, CEO of SJP Properties, who chairs the marketing subcommittee for the Real Estate Advisory Board.
