NORTH BRUNSWICK--Mitchell H Frumkin, P.E., R.S., the president of Kipcon Inc., has helped develop and teach the Community Association Institute's advanced level Professional Management Development Program class entitled M-370 Managing Developing Communities on July 10-11, 2008 in Denver, Colorado.
The two day course was designed to teach community association managers how to foster the establishment of a successful community association through specific techniques that help manage communications and expectations between the developer, the owners and the volunteer leaders. Some of the topics covered include the initial concepts stage for designing and creating successful communities, developing the initial budgets, managing finances throughout transition, the process after turnover as well as the importance of education, operational turnover and risk management.
Kipcon's President Mitchell Frumkin is a Reserve Specialist and a Licensed Professional Engineer in twenty states. He is a frequent speaker and author on the state and national levels for the Community Associations Institute (CAI) as well as other organizations. Throughout his career, Mr. Frumkin has served as president of the CAI's National Research Foundation (1997), the CAI itself (2002) and its New Jersey Chapter (1995).
Both Frumkin and the CAI hoped that this course would help property managers transition their communities the right way. The goal was to give managers the tools and knowledge to avoid dissent in the community and more importantly those expensive legal problems.
