Cushman & Wakefield Inks AmWINS Lease at Raritan Plaza III By Betsy Kraat

EDISON--AmWINS Group Inc., a diversified wholesale insurance broker, has leased 13,312 sf of Class A office space at Raritan Plaza III, 105 Fieldcrest Ave. in Edison, announced Cushman & Wakefield, Inc.

The long-term lease, which maintained the 180,000-sf property’s 95 percent occupancy, represents a local relocation and regional office expansion for AmWINS.

AmWINS distributes specialty insurance products dedicated to serving retail agents throughout the United States by providing property and casualty, group life and health, and program administration services. Based in Charlotte, N.C., the company operates through more than 35 offices across the United States and handles premium placements in excess of $3.3 billion dollars annually.

Robert Dinner of Cushman & Wakefield’s Edison office serves as exclusive leasing agent for Raritan Plaza III, which is owned by Ivy Equities. David Zimmel of Zimmel Associates served as tenant broker for AmWINS.

A portion of the AmWINS space, on the top floor of Raritan Plaza III, at the time of the transaction was being marketed for sublease by Computershare, an existing tenant at the property. As part of the deal, Dinner orchestrated a lease termination with the sublessor and their broker, Richard Madison of Newmark Knight Frank, and negotiated the AmWINS transaction as a direct lease.
