FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP-- The upcoming meeting of Professional Women in Construction will focus on "Redeveloping New Jersey: The Changing Face Of the Garden State."
The conference will be held from 6 to 8:30 p. m. at the Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset.
Many of the state's urban areas -- including New Brunswick, Morristown, Hoboken, and the Hackensack Meadowlands -- are undergoing tremendous transformations as a result of large-scale redevelopment projects. The speakers at this important seminar will discuss overall development market trends in New Jersey and how redevelopment in New Jersey is serving as a model for the rest of the nation.The panel will be moderated by Sharon Waters, deputy editor of NJBIZ.
The speakers include:
*Lawrence F. Jacobs, chair of the Northern New Jersey District Council of the Urban Land Institute (ULI-NNJ). Jacobs heads the environmental practice area of the Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer law firm.
·Stephen A. Santola, executive vice president and general counsel of Woodmont Properties in Parsippany, N. J. Woodmont is one of New Jersey's most active developers, having completed 800,000 sf of commercial development and acquisitions over the past two years.
·Ralph Zucker, president of Somerset Development in Lakewood, N.J. Somerset, a leader in New Urbanism, is the developer of Wesmont Station, which is now under construction in Wood-Ridge, in Bergen County.
·William J. Rosato, president of Tarragon Development Corp. in New York City. Tarragon is a leading national mixed-use developer focused on developing community based solutions with several successful residential developments in New Jersey including luxury condominiums One Hudson Park in Edgewater and Trio in Palisades Park.
·Jim Petrucci, president of J. G. Petrucci Co. in Asbury, N.J. J.G. Petrucci is a full-service design/build specialist and an owner and developer of industrial, office and retail properties.
