JERSEY CITY--The Northern New Jersey District Council of the Urban Land Institute (ULI-NNJ) will present three roundtable panels focusing on Jersey City and Hoboken beginning at 2:30 p.m. on
Thursday, Nov. 1, at the Liberty House Restaurant, located in Jersey City.
Each of the panels will illustrate how Jersey City and Hoboken have confronted many of the most pressing issues facing the state regarding development and how other cities can benefit from their examples and apply these principles in their own communities.
The first roundtable will focus on the impact of aging infrastructure, growth and transportation issues. The discussion will also focus on how the local work force is evolving with the
global economy.
The second round table will discuss what many development trends, such as sustainable, transit-oriented development and smart growth, mean to New Jersey¹s waterfront cities.
The third round table will discuss the key factors driving the development of new urban town centers and projects with a distinct sense of place.
