HASBROUCK HEIGHTS--DMR Architects, one of the largest and most respected full-service architectural firms in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan region, recently received the Excellence in
Housing Award in the category of Community Revitalization.
The awards were presented at the 2007 Governor's Conference on Housing and Community Development at the Atlantic City Convention Center. The Department of Community Affairs and the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency cosponsored the event.
Awards were presented to projects that demonstrated outstanding housing development in the areas of affordable housing, green/sustainable development and community revitalization.
DMR Architects, Trenton Prospect House LLC, and Hunter Roberts Construction Group each received an award in the category of Community Revitalization for the 110-unit housing project known as Trenton Prospect House (Independence Gardens) in Trenton. The development is part of a multi-phased project that includes a 57,000-sf shopping center and new road, Independence Way. Ted Davis, the developer from Trenton Prospect House LLC, set-aside 25 percent of the housing units for residents with special needs.
