As Chairman and Principal of commercial real estate landlords the Lakewood-based Lightstone Group LLC, 46-year-old Brooklyn-born David Lichtenstein oversees a portfolio of diversified properties in 46 states plus the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and Canada. The portfolio—which now includes more than 18,000 residential units, 680 hotels, and approximately 67 million square feet of office, hotel, industrial, and retail space—was begun 21 years ago and has managed to grow into a $10 billion company without any overall strategic plan.
